Professional Background

My wife Carrie and I have enjoyed living and raising a son and a daughter and watching four grand kids grow in Idaho Falls since my discharge from the Air Force.

Our company Potter Construction Inc. has been serving as a general contracting firm in Idaho Falls for 36 years involving commercial, residential and industrial building. Experienced in contracts, permits, zoning, codes, safety, oversite and all aspects of construction. I have been involved in many community projects, re; thirteen years event planning and coordinating events for the Epilepsy Foundation of Idaho, event coordinator for Humps and Horns Tour PBR event and Battle of the Bulls PBR event, past member of the Sandy Downs citizen advisory committee. I have also been very involved in the benevolent Elks organization for many years serving as chairman of the board of trustees nine years, auditing chairman five years, vice president of the board of directors of Idaho Falls 1087 Charities a 501 (C) (3) not for profit and supported many community activities benefitting veteran and youth groups. I’m also a member of the Architectural Building Committee for Wagon Wheel Estates sub-division in Swan Valley, Id.

Having been a big supporter of the Idaho Falls Auditorium District for some time, I believe the Mountain America Event Center to be a great asset to the Idaho Falls community and would look forward to offering my experience to the board.
